musebox planning i guess. i dont know
WITCH TOURNAMENT: the rp game
- the premise is simple enough but elaborate to explain so to keep it simple: as boredom is poison for a witch, a good show is necessary. a group of witches have come together to entertain themselves with an all-out gameboard. it's witch against witch in an all-out war for entertainment. winner designs the next gameboard (and may humilate the other witches aas they please) and the game continues. a witch may also leave at any time if they decide to. if they return, their leave is counted as a loss. the game concludes when there is only one witch standing, and each of the losing witches now owes the reigning witch supreme a favor. (??) that wasn't simple at all.
- there are two levels. think of it as a particularly delicious cake: the sponge, the meat of the cake, is the metaworld, where the witches play chess with their game pieces. the delicious strawberry jam holding the cake together and keeping it from being a simple sponge cake is the game world. threads and general interaction may take place in either world.
- i assume most people would want to play one of the witches, but it might be a good idea to allow people to play game pieces as well. any game pieces that enter the game would be unaware of the metaworld and witches. from there, a piece would align themselves with a witch. new pieces would be up for grabs and a witch would have to somehow get a piece to align with them. game pieces would be an essential part of the game, and the most pieces a witch has, the more moves they could make. a game piece could switches sides if it wanted, but it is a risky move, for both the witch overtaking the game piece and the game piece themselves. a game piece killed by a witch may not return to the game (perma-death).
- the option of a piece overtake a witch might a good idea as well. the witch isn't demoted or anything, simply humilated by their, but the player now has to play a game piece version of their character AND a witch version of them. following suit with eva-BEATRICE and ange-BEATRICE, a character would be rewarded with a (character name)-(WITCH NAME) title.
- the general rules of umineko would apply in addition to this: blue truth, red truth, gold truth and purple truth.
- rather than simply restarting over and over, the winning witch of the previous game would design the next gameboard. designing a game, of course, gives you a significant upperhand. you would know the ins and outs of the gameboard and the only one who could use the golden truth wouold be the witch who created the gameboard. (???? its been a while so im not sure on this but i figure there needs to be more incentive with winning)
- i'm not sure if that means the player playing the winner witch would get the chance to design the next setting or not, i think it'd be an interesting idea but at the same time im worried about people coming up with really boring settings. still, it would mean all sorts of genres are allowed.
- regarding canon when they cry characters, they would be appable. however, they would be treated like any other character in game and may not godmod or any of the sort.
- i dont think im missing much for a surface idea here but yeah there we go ??? idk
